Once you reserve your unit, sign the contract, and pay the first month's rent and security deposit, you are free to move in. You are responsible for your own lock and are welcome to move in at any time convenient for you. Spence Storage is open 24 hours per day and there is LED security lighting if you would like to move in after dark.


You can pay via check, cash, ACH or credit card. ACH and credit card are most convenient, as you can pay online directly from the spencestorage.com secure portal. Payment is due on the first of each month and can be paid online. If you would prefer to send a check, please do so to: Spence Storage, LLC. P.O. Box 180252, Delafield, WI 53018-0252. You can also pay with cash and alternatively drop off cash or check to our sister company Rundle-Spence Co. at 835 S. Hickory St. Fond du Lac. This is directly west of the storage facility. We recommend placing you belongings on pallets due to the changing weather conditions in Wisconsin. As the weather changes from cold to warm in the spring it is common for cement floors to condense and retain moisture.


We accept ACH, cash, check, or credit card. We recommend for convenience, logging into your secure account at spencestorage.com and setting up a bank account for reoccurring payments.


Yes, you must provide your own lock. We recommend good quality outdoor disc locks. If you are in need of a lock, we can provide you with quality commercial locks suitable for outdoor use. These locks can be purchased at Rundle-Spence Co., our sister company just to the west of Spence Storage. Please see our New Renter Tips


We do not recommend storing any hazardous or flammable chemicals.
